President Trump kicked off a Thursday night rally by mocking Mike Bloomberg \u2014 who he called \u201cMini Mike\u201d \u2014 and Sen. Amy Klobuchar for their performances at the Democratic debate on Wednesday, saying both the candidates \u201cchoked\u201d on the stage in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know if anyone watched last night\u2019s debates,\u201d Trump told the crowd in Colorado Springs. \u201cIt got very big ratings \u2014 and you know mini Mike Bloomberg didn\u2019t do well last night.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump claimed he was going to send Bloomberg a note, \u201csaying it\u2019s not easy what I do.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMike didn\u2019t do well, he went way down,\u201d the president added. \u201cBloomberg made a fool of himself last night. He choked, he choked.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump also mocked Klobuchar, a Minnesota senator, for asking former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg if he accused her of being dumb on the Las Vegas debate stage.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe choked, she choked,\u201d Trump said of Klobuchar before making a choking gesture.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe said, \u2018Are you accusing me of being dumb?\u2019 Who would make a statement like that?\u201d Trump asked.<\/p>\n
Trump added: \u201cThat was the end of her campaign in my book. You don\u2019t say that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The president was referring to a tense exchange between Klobuchar and Buttigieg Wednesday night when the Minnesota senator asked Buttigieg if he was saying she\u2019s dumb for forgetting the name of Mexico\u2019s president in a recent interview.<\/p>\n
Trump also went off on this year\u2019s Academy Awards, questioning how \u201cParasite,\u201d a South Korean film, could win Best Picture, and repeatedly referring to Brad Pitt as \u201ca little wise guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd the winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about?\u201d asked Trump. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe got enough problems with South Korea with trade. On top of it they give them the best movie of the year,\u201d Trump said of the Bong Joon Ho-directed hit.<\/p>\n
\u201cParasite\u201d was the first non-English-language film to win best picture in the 92-year history of the Academy Awards.<\/p>\n
Trump switched gears and said he was \u201cnever a fan\u201d of Pitt, who won the best supporting actor award for his role in Quentin Tarantino flick, \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd then you have Brad Pitt, I was never a fan of his. He got up and said a little wise guy statement. Little wise guy. He\u2019s a little wise guy,\u201d said Trump.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
