On Monday\u2019s \u201cThe Late Show,\u201d Stephen Colbert tried to make sense of the weird insults Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden likes to deploy, and the explanation he landed on is, basically, that the former vice president has a faulty brain computer.<\/p>\n
First though, Colbert talked about how Biden seems to use his former boss Barack Obama as a synonym for \u201cgood,\u201d imagining him rating a fast food burrito as \u201ca real Barack Obama\u201d but the establishment\u2019s bathroom as \u201cno Barack Obama.\u201d<\/p>\n
Then Colbert brought up the insults. See, on Sunday during an appearance in New Hampshire<\/a>, a women in the audience asked Joe Biden about his poor showing earlier in the week during the Iowa caucus fiasco. Biden asked the woman if she had ever attended a caucus and when she said she had, he responded \u201cNo you haven\u2019t! That\u2019s when a photo of Biden appeared on screen and the camera zoomed in on his brain, which displayed the words \u201cinsult generator\u201d in the \u201cJoystix\u201d font.<\/p>\n \u201cHmmm, let\u2019s see, what should I call her,\u201d Colbert said, imagining the thoughts in Biden\u2019s head. Then came several alternate insults the ex-VEEP could have deployed. Biden\u2019s brain first tries \u201cDevious Squirrel-Kneed Kangaroo Mailman,\u201d then \u201cTricky Cat-Fingered Panther Chef,\u201d before landing on the \u201cpony soldier\u201d crack.<\/p>\n \u201cGood one Joe, that insult was a real Barack Obama,\u201d Colbert joked.
