Well, that’s about to change as the singer-songwriter has finally sealed a deal to star in a Disney movie. <\/p>\n Aside from starring in it, he will also be producing the movie, as reported by Deadline. <\/p>\n This confirmation comes after months of discussion between him and Walt Disney Studios production president Sean Bailey. <\/p>\n At the moment there are no details on the plot, but it is known that he will create mostly original songs to perform in the music-themed movie. With 11 Grammy Awards under his belt, filling the soundtrack list will no doubt be an easy feat for the singer. <\/p>\n Even though this will be his first time starring in a movie, Mars’ film debut was in 1992’s “Honeymoon in Vegas”, in which he played Little Elvis. He’s also done voice role for an animated movie, lending his voice to a suave bird named Roberto in 2014’s “Rio 2”. <\/p>\n He’s also made several small screen appearances, playing singing roles in shows such as “Saturday Night Live” and “Jane the Virgin”. <\/p>\n Apart from Mars’ movie, Disney is also working on a “Hamilton” musical film, adapted from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning Broadway show of the same name.
