31 Jan<\/strong> \u2013 Although he is not a lawyer for Viva Artists Agency, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio recently expressed his belief that Nadine Lustre has made the wrong move in terminating her contract with the company before its expiry.<\/p>\n As reported on PEP, Topacio who spoke to the media at the VIVA 2020 Vision event on 28 January, shared that he doesn’t think the actress was properly advised by her lawyers, as one needs to understand that a talent agency contract is more complicated than your average agreement.<\/p>\n “It was a very wrong move legally and I think professionally as well, on the part of Ms. Nadine Lustre,” he added.<\/p>\n Topacio stated that Lustre’s decision to terminate the contract will not only cause her problems, but also towards others who want to work with her, for instance, for endorsements or movie contracts.<\/p>\n “While this contract with Viva is existing, they may be civilly liable also under Article 1314 of the Civil Code, because they are interfering courtesy of an existing contract,” he added.<\/p>\n Topacio stressed that he has always been a fan of Lustre, whom he regards as the greatest actress of her generation.<\/p>\n “But her ability as an actress is different from these professional moves,” he added.<\/p>\n (Photo Source: ABS CBN)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
