Sam Raimi has declared his interest in directing another Evil Dead<\/em> film.<\/p>\n

Raimi actually started the series with 1981\u2019s The Evil Dead,<\/em> which he followed with 1987\u2019s Evil Dead II,<\/em> and then 1992\u2019s Army Of Darkness,<\/em> all of which he co-wrote and directed. These have since been followed by a 2013 reboot, various comic books and video games, a TV series, and even a musical.<\/p>\n

So it is little wonder then that Raimi believes there\u2019s still more to come from the Evil Dead<\/em> franchise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During a recent question and answer session on\u00a0Reddit,\u00a0Raimi was asked, \u201cWill we get a final Sam Raimi Evil Dead<\/em> movie.\u201d This provoked Raimi to reveal that he is currently working on a new Evil Dead<\/em> story with star Bruce Campbell and producer Robert Tapert that an unnamed, young filmmaker will direct.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Raimi then quickly added, \u201cAs for me…. I would love to direct a new Evil Dead<\/em> movie… but I’d really like to do it with Bruce. And he says he’s retired the character. I hope not.\u201d<\/p>\n
