The 54-year-old Fury<\/em> star and the 43-year-old The Revenant<\/em> actor will co-star in director and writer Quentin Tarantino<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film \u201ctakes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood,\u201d Quentin<\/strong> described, according to Variety<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Leonardo <\/strong> will play Rick Dalton, the former star of a western TV show, and Brad<\/strong> will portray his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don\u2019t recognize anymore,\u201d Quentin<\/strong> explained. \u201cBut Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor\u2026Sharon Tate<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was 7 years old,\u201d Quentin<\/strong> added in a statement. \u201cI\u2019m very excited to tell this story of an L.A., and a Hollywood that don\u2019t exist anymore. And I couldn\u2019t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio<\/strong> & Pitt<\/strong> as Rick & Cliff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Quentin<\/strong> has previously worked with Brad <\/strong> in Inglourious Basterds<\/em>, and with Leonardo <\/strong> in Django Unchained<\/em>.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/em> (the first movie that Quentin<\/strong> is releasing without the Weinstein Company) will hit theaters on August 9, 2019, marking the 50th anniversary of the day that the Manson<\/strong> family committed the LaBianca<\/strong> murders.<\/p>\n
