The case was dismissed Friday by Louisiana\u2019s Supreme Court. A state judge and an appellate court had allowed the suit to proceed over NFL objections. And, for a time, it looked as though Commissioner Roger Goodell and three playoff game officials might have to submit to questions under oath.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Louisiana Supreme Court has now spoken,\u201d LeMon said in a prepared statement Monday morning. \u201cConsequently we, the plaintiffs in this lawsuit, are ready to move on and respect the ruling of our State\u2019s highest court.<\/p>\n<p>LeMon nevertheless called Friday\u2019s ruling disappointing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy this Supreme Court ruling, the only right given to the purchaser of an NFL ticket, at least in Louisiana, is to get a seat in the stadium,\u201d his statement said. \u201cOnce in that seat, the NFL has a license to do whatever it wants to us little ticket-holders, even to commit fraud and deceptive consumer trade practices against us without any civil recourse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NFL declined comment Monday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_14324524\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img class=\" wp-image-14324524 lazyload\" alt=\"Nickell Robey-Coleman hits Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis\" width=\"390\" height=\"260\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/nrc.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=300 300w, https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/nrc.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=640 640w, https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/nrc.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1280 1280w, https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/nrc.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=390 390w, https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/nrc.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=780 780w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 390px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span>Nickell Robey-Coleman hits Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Three other lawsuits over the no-call had already died in federal court. At the center of each of them: The lack of a pass interference or roughness penalty after a Rams player\u2019s helmet-to-helmet hit on a Saints receiver with a pass on the way.<\/p>\n<p>Among allegations in LeMon\u2019s lawsuit are claims that fraud and \u201cimplicit or unconscious bias\u201d on the part of game officials from the Los Angeles area led to the decision not to flag the penalty.<\/p>\n<p>LeMon did succeed in getting some responses from the NFL to written queries before the state Supreme Court halted action in the case while it was pending. The league acknowledged that video shows that pass interference and unnecessary roughness penalties should have been called.
