Barbra Streisand<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out to clarify a quote that was attributed to her in which she supposedly said she felt miscast in the movie Funny Girl<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The legendary entertainer and Oscar winner really was talking about her role in the 1969 movie Hello, Dolly!<\/em><\/p>\n

Barbra<\/strong> felt the role should have been played by an older woman. She was just 27 when the movie was released. In comparison, Bette Midler<\/strong><\/a> just played the role on Broadway at the age of 71 and Bernadette Peters<\/strong><\/a>, who turns 70 this week, just replaced her in the production.<\/p>\n

I will forever love Funny Girl<\/em>, and am grateful that I got the chance to play Fanny Brice.\u201d<\/p>\n
