The film follows a high school senior (played by Sabrina Carpenter) whose admission to the college of her dreams depends on a dance competition. <\/p>\n<p>Also tapped for the film, directed by Laura Terruso, are Liza Koshy (<i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">Liza on Demand<\/i>), Keiynan Lonsdale (<i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">The Flash<\/i>, <i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">Love, Simon<\/i>), Drew Ray Tanner (<i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">Riverdale<\/i>), and Michelle Buteau (<i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">Always Be My Maybe<\/i>). <\/p>\n<p>Watch the announcement on the Netflix Instagram below.<\/p>\n<p>The casting news follows the recent announcement that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playbill.com\/article\/jordan-fisher-to-star-in-to-all-the-boys-ive-loved-before-sequel\" target=\"_blank\" data-cms-ai=\"0\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fisher is also set to star in Netflix&#8217;s upcoming <i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">To All the Boys I&#8217;ve Loved Before <\/i>sequel<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The actor has been seen on Broadway in <i>Hamilton, <\/i>in which he played Philip and John Laurens.
