{"id":127078,"date":"2019-04-22T16:57:28","date_gmt":"2019-04-22T13:57:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ww-vb.mine.nu\/w108\/sol-pais-columbine-obsessed-teen-likely-killed-herself-before-manhunt\/"},"modified":"2019-04-22T16:57:28","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T13:57:28","slug":"sol-pais-columbine-obsessed-teen-likely-killed-herself-before-manhunt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hameed.nwar.uk\/sa\/sol-pais-columbine-obsessed-teen-likely-killed-herself-before-manhunt\/","title":{"rendered":"Sol Pais, Columbine-obsessed teen, likely killed herself before manhunt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thenypost.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/04\/sol-pais-3.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Columbine-obsessed teen <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/04\/16\/cops-hunt-woman-obsessed-with-columbine-days-before-anniversary-of-massacre\/\">who flew to Colorado and bought a weapon<\/a> likely killed herself before officials launched a massive manhunt, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The body of Sol Pais was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/04\/17\/columbine-obsessed-teen-sol-pais-dead-after-sparking-massive-manhunt\/\">found Wednesday morning at the base of Mount Evans<\/a> in Clear Creek County \u2014 but officials believe she died nearly two days earlier of suicide, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2019\/04\/19\/sol-pais-manhunt-mount-evans-suicide\/\">the Denver Post reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe had no idea what occurred from late Monday afternoon to Tuesday when a search for her began and to Wednesday when her body was found,\u201d Clear Creek County Undersheriff Bruce Snelling told the Denver Post. \u201cThe logical likelihood was she was here to end her journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>FBI officials suspected 18-year-old Pais was plotting an attack because she <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/04\/17\/wanted-teen-obsessed-with-columbine-may-behind-site-encouraging-killer-readers\/\">appeared \u201cinfatuated\u201d with the Columbine High School massacre<\/a> and arrived days before the shooting\u2019s 20th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>The Miami high school student boarded a flight Monday to Denver \u2014 then purchased a firearm and ammunition at a Littleton gun shop, not far from the Columbine campus, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p>Her behavior incited panic in the Denver area Tuesday where more than 20 schools, including Columbine, were closed and a nearly 24-hour manhunt got underway.<\/p>\n<p>But authorities said Pais ultimately didn\u2019t have a \u201cmaster plan\u201d to go on a shooting spree. She \u201cwent dark\u201d after a ride-share driver dropped her off Monday afternoon near Mount Evans, where her body was later discovered, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no digital footprint anywhere,\u201d Snelling told the Denver Post. \u201cNo phone. No credit card use.
