Possibly because it isn\u2019t even true.<\/p>\n<p>After longtime NFL general manager Charley Casserly<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/03\/05\/kyler-murray-backlash-arrives-worst-reports-execs-ever-heard\/\"> ripped the Heisman-winning quarterback\u2019s interviews<\/a> with teams at the scouting combine \u2014 \u201cThese were worst comments I ever got on a high-rated quarterback and I\u2019ve been doing this a long time \u2026 Leadership, not good. Study habits, not good. The board work, below not good. Not good at all in any of those areas, raising major concerns about what this guy is going to do.\u201d \u2014 former NFL executive Gil Brandt came to Murray\u2019s defense, questioning whether Casserly invented the assessments himself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbout this Kyler Murray situation: 1) Only 1 team put him in front of white board. 2) The questions about leadership, study habits run counter to my experience w\/ Kyler, who I\u2019ve known since he was a HS soph,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Gil_Brandt\/status\/1103794668855156736\">Brandt, now an analyst for SiriusXM, tweeted.<\/a> \u201cHave known his dad for 30 years. Honestly, it all sounds fabricated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Casserly\u2019s comments don\u2019t look any better, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/03\/07\/maybe-this-is-why-ex-nfl-exec-blasted-kyler-murray\/\">given the conflict of interest created by his side job<\/a> at EXOS, preparing college players for such interviews. Murray did not use its services.<\/p>\n<p>As for the other controversy forever-swirling around Murray as an NFL prospect, Brandt said any reports of the diminutive quarterback\u2019s height being inflated is also inaccurate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t need an anonymous scout to tell me he was shorter than what was recorded,\u201d Brandt said. \u201cI have my own source: me. I was there in the room when he was measured and when the bar pushed all the way down on his head he was 5-10 1\/8.
