The 23-year-old mom allegedly kidnapped leaving a Boston nightclub<\/a> last month was shoved in a suitcase and bound with duct tape when cops found her dead inside the trunk of a car, according to a report published Monday.<\/p>\n

Jassy Correia, who was last seen alive early Feb. 24, had \u201csignificant bruising and blood about her face,\u201d when a Delaware trooper found her in the trunk of Louis Coleman III\u2019s car<\/a> last week, according to court papers obtained by The Boston Globe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She was \u201cbound with gray duct tape and had a white powdery residue over her body, believed to be baking soda,\u201d the affidavit says.<\/p>\n

Police also found garden shears and a set of pliers in Coleman\u2019s car.<\/p>\n

The young mom appears to have died after being strangled and beaten, according to the court papers.<\/p>\n

When he was booked, Coleman, 32, had a large bandage on his face and was asked about his injury, the records say.<\/p>\n

\u201cColeman responded, in substance, \u2018It\u2019s from the girl,\u2019 \u201d according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n

Video footage shows Correia walking with Coleman, outside the nightclub Venu, where she had been celebrating her birthday, and getting into his car.<\/p>\n

Security footage from his apartment in Providence, Rhode Island, shows him getting out of his car and coming back carrying a blanket, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n

He can then be seen carrying Correia\u2019s limp body, which was naked from the waist up, into the building, and dragging her to an elevator.<\/p>\n

On Feb. 26 he bought three coveralls, duct tape, candles, electrical tape, a mask, surgical gloves and safety goggles from a Wallgreens. He also appeared to have bought a new suitcase with blue pipping.<\/p>\n

Coleman is charged with kidnapping resulting in death, a felony that could potentially bring the death penalty.<\/p>\n

He appeared in federal court in Delaware Monday and will be transferred to Boston at an undetermined date.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
