The world premiere of Halley Feiffer\u2019s new play, The Pain of My Belligerence<\/i>, directed by Trip Cullman<\/a>, is set to begin performances at Playwrights Horizons March 29. <\/p>\n

The Pain of My Belligerence<\/i> tells the story of Cat, a 20-something journalist (played by Feiffer), whose ambition is put at stake after she encounters Guy, played by Hamish Linklater<\/a>, who’s charismatic, crass, and married. Feiffer began developing the play in the months leading up to the 2016 election after observing the hypocrisies of those calling out yet perpetuating and enabling toxic masculinity.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the cast are Vanessa Kai (KPOP, Somebody\u2019s Daughter<\/i>), Kiera Belle Young, and Phoebe Young. <\/p>\n
