President Trump on Sunday continued to knock the \u201ccollusion delusion\u201d of the Democrats\u2019 Russian investigations and once again referred to a book manuscript<\/a> from his former longtime lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter more than two years of Presidential Harassment, the only things that have been proven is that Democrats and other broke the law. The hostile Cohen testimony, given by a liar to reduce his prison time, proved no Collusion! His just written book manuscript showed what he said was a total lie, but Fake Media won\u2019t show it,\u201d he posted on his Twitter page<\/a>, referring to Cohen\u2019s testimony before the House Oversight Committee<\/a> last Wednesday.<\/p>\n \u201cI am an innocent man being persecuted by some very bad, conflicted & corrupt people in a Witch Hunt that is illegal & should never have been allowed to start \u2013 And only because I won the Election! Despite this, great success!\u201d he continued in a second tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n Cohen made a series of sweeping allegations against Trump during his appearance, including that the president lied and committed crimes while in the White House.<\/p>\n But the once trusted lawyer for the president said he did not have \u201cdirect evidence\u201d that Trump or his campaign colluded with the Russians during the 2016 election.<\/p>\n On Saturday in a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump singled out the investigations being conducted by Mueller.<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately you put the wrong people in a couple of positions and they leave people for a long time that shouldn\u2019t be there and all of a sudden they\u2019re trying to take you out with bulls\u2014,\u201d he told the crowd of conservatives<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mocking the Democrats and their \u201ccollusion delusion,\u201d Trump blasted them for overreaching for launching a series of new investigations into him now that they are in the majority.<\/p>\n \u201cThis phoney thing looks like it\u2019s dying so they don\u2019t have anything with Russia there, no collusion,\u201d Trump said of Mueller\u2019s investigation. \u201cSo now they go in and morph into \u2018Let\u2019s inspect every deal he\u2019s ever done. We\u2019re going to go into his finances. We\u2019re going to check his deals. We\u2019re going to check\u2019 \u2014 these people are sick.\u201d<\/p>\n In a tweet on Friday, Cohen accused Cohen of writing a \u201clove letter to Trump\u201d in a book deal he was pursuing with publishers.<\/p>\n He appeared to be referring to a report in the Daily Mail that said Cohen had been shopping a book deal but it collapsed after he was charged in Manhattan federal court.<\/p>\n Cohen is scheduled to report to prison on May 6 to begin serving a three-year sentence after he pleaded guilty last fall to tax evasion, campaign finance violations and lying to Congress.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
