The Broadway musical adaptation of Pretty Woman <\/i><\/a>is on track to make its London premiere next year, according to the show\u2019s co-writer Bryan Adams, the ’90s hitmaker behind \u201cEverything I Do (I Do It for You)\u201d and \u201cSummer of 69.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it’s going to Germany this year. It opens in September this year, and then it’s going to London next year,” he said. “I’m excited about it. It’s all set in motion now.\u201d Adams revealed to the Press Association during a media interview for his current U.K. concert tour. <\/p>\n

The previously announced German sit-down run of Pretty Woman<\/i> will begin September 23 in Hamburg. Stage Entertainment is producing the international stagings of the Broadway production.<\/p>\n

The Canadian singer-songwriter and longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance collaborated on the score for the musical based on the 1990 romantic classic. The show\u2019s book was written by original screenwriter J.F. Lawton and the late Gary Marshall, who directed Julia Roberts<\/a> and Richard Gere in the original.<\/p>\n

Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell<\/a>, Pretty Woman <\/i>opened on Broadway August 16 at the Nederlander Theatre. The Broadway production stars Samantha Barks as Vivian alongside Andy Karl<\/a> as Edward.<\/p>\n
