19 Feb – Charlene Choi recently had a chance to celebrate her nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for the Hong Kong Film Awards with fellow competitor, Nina Paw.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who was nominated for her role in Calvin Poon’s “Fatal Visit”, has recently been busy filming her new online series, “Female Forensic JD” (working title), which also co-stars Nina, who was nominated for her performance in “My Prince Edward”. On the other hand, the series’ cinematographer, Kenny Tse is also nominated for Best Cinematographer for the movie, “A Witness Out of the Blue”.
It’s for this reason alone that the crew of the said series decided to hold a surprise celebration party for the three of them, which happened after they completed filming a few days ago.
Said Charlene, “When we received the nominations, everybody was happy for us. We congratulated and encouraged each other. But I didn’t expect that they would have another surprise for us after the filming. I am really thankful.”
Charlene and Nina will also be competing with Megan Lai (“Fagara”), Cya Liu (“I’m Livin’ It”), and Patra Au (“Suk Suk”) in the said category.
