Jakarta – Two ASN school supervisors at the elementary and middle school levels in the Bogor Regency government have been sentenced to dismissal after being investigated for an extramarital affair. This case started when the son of one of the ASNs attacked his father who was caught having an affair with another ASN. Publicizing the case started with a video of two ASN of the Bogor Regency Education Service (Disdik), West Java, circulating on social media (medsos). The two of them were caught in the same house. In the video seen, the son of one of the ASN recorded the incident. The ASN’s child was heard vomiting when he saw his father in the same house as another female ASN. The ASN man is said not to have divorced his legal wife. The male ASN is also said to have received a promotion. The child in the video narrative hopes that his father will get sanctions, not a promotion. Two ASNs who have a case investigated by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bogor Regency, Ajat Rochmat Jatnika, said that the Bogor Regency government summoned the ASNs. Since the beginning of the disclosure of the case, the sanction prepared was dismissal. “We have gone through the steps. Most likely we will take steps, one of which will stop both,” Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said last Wednesday (10/12). Rudy said that the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) is investigating the two ASNs. “The inspection phase was carried out by BKPSDM Bogor Regency, hopefully the administration phase will be completed today,” he said. 2 ASNs who cheat and get together now sacked The Bogor Regency government then imposed sanctions against the sacking of 2 ASN school supervisors who went viral for allegedly having an extramarital affair. Both were deemed to have committed serious breaches of the ASN’s code of ethics leading to dismissal sanctions. “The disciplinary punishment imposed is the worst, namely honorable discharge without personal request, in accordance with government regulation number 94 of 2021 on civil servants’ discipline,” said Bogor Regency regional secretary, Ajat Rochmat Jatnika, as reported by Antara, Sunday (21/12). These sanctions were imposed following complaints from the public about allegations of cohabitation outside of marriage or cohabitation. Ajat explained that the Bogor Regency government followed up on the complaint through an inspection mechanism in accordance with statutory provisions. According to Ajat, the process of dealing with this case took quite a long time. The inspection begins within the Education Department, then continues with a special inspection team because suspected violations lead to serious penalties. Ajat said that the recommendation for disciplinary punishment was received from the National Public Service Agency (NSA) on December 10, 2025 and determined by a decision on December 11, 2025. Furthermore, the decision letter for disciplinary punishment was handed over to the two Bogor ASN officers on December 15, 2025 to start the administrative appeal period and from that moment the appeal period started. “The person concerned is given 14 days to file an administrative appeal. If no appeal is filed, the penalty will apply permanently,” he said. Ajat emphasized that one of the supervisors, namely the female supervisor, currently no longer has the status of a civil servant in the Bogor Regency government. Ajat called on all civil servants within the Bogor Regency government to uphold their honor and dignity as civil servants. “It must be a joint learning. What we do will have an impact on ourselves, so our mandate as civil servants must be upheld,” he said. (rfs/fca)
