It’s weird, I don’t even care that much but OP’s insistence that it’s not projected or traced just makes me feel the need to prove the opposite. Here’s the [exact photo](https://res.cloudinary.com/teepublic/image/private/s–ZrYDEcR3–/t_Preview/b_rgb:ffffff,c_limit,f_jpg,h_630,q_90,w_630/v1552310523/production/designs/4387641_0.jpg) he used. And just with a simple look, anyone can tell that it’s not even a reference photo – it’s literally the exact same shading. It’s projected.
Honestly, it’s not even a big deal that he’s projecting them and tracing them on the board – cool idea, cool execution, no problem. It’s the insistence that it’s original work that causes problems. Don’t think the teacher/professor has ever claimed that he isn’t tracing or is creating original art, so maybe don’t put words in his mouth.
