We had a guy here in Hamilton, NZ, called “Possum” who would set up his hi-lift outside the rugby stadium on game-day. He wears a hat made of real opossum skin and would loudly rev his chainsaw when celebrating the home team scoring (he was an arborist by trade).
He would also sing the team chant (“Mooloo, olé, olé, olé”) so loudly that the whole stadium could hear. Very “big” voice.
The Rugby Union adopted him and made him a feature at games.
At the end of the game he would throw lollies (sweets, candy) to the children in the crowd as they left.
Also plays a mean ukulele…
Why was he banned, though? Judging by the little I know from what I see, definitely feels like r/latestagecapitalism material…
