Such an adorable and funny video! I loved how Mia wanted to help Mayte and teach her how to go to the potty. Mario and Mia are going to really make the potty training go faster! Mayte cracks me up with her facial expressions and jumping around on everything! They loved the ice cream! Mario thinking about grandma and trying to save some for her was just too precious and heartwarming.

I think Mia will be your biggest helper in training Mayte. I had all boys, so I have no advise? that would be helpful for training a little Princess to Potty. I haven't heard of that brand of Ice Cream?, I will look for it at the store. There is nothing wrong in sharing the little tub of Ice Cream with your children. Geez, some of the complaints are ridiculous. ? Hope your beautiful family has a wonderful week.
since the little ones know a least a tiny bit before they have to go, the key phrase to use is "when the peepee or poopoo wants to come out, let me know and we'll run to the potty" and remind them of that all day. I've seen this tactic work more than once.

Can u include English subtitles for those of us who don’t speak Spanish…please? Your freezer may be turned up too high. I love the wall hanging you have on your home. Where did you buy it please? It’s beautiful. If you used a reward system for when she does #1 & #2 in the potty it might be good…bearing in mind all kids are different and do it differently. If she’s removing her dirty diaper she is more than ready. Most kids will tell you when they are ready to train. I used to use M & M’s as a reward system. Involving the other siblings at this point may be confusing. You and Mayte share this without the others right now. The kids mean well as do you but this is personal and shouldn’t be a family activity. Just my opinion.
When you go over “wiping” with Mayte ( hope I didn’t spell her name wrong?”) make sure you tell her to wipe from front to back. Decreases UTI’s. You can put the ice cream or gelato into the microwave in case it’s too hard. Love you. You shouldn’t share the tub of ice cream in case someone has a cold. Too much backwash/spittle is gross. Your family is gorgeous!!!!!
When I was potty training my daughter I purchased her this little doll complete with her own potty. My daughter loved it. It came with a kids book. We would “sit” and read the book together and if we sat there long enough my baby would do #2 into the potty. Check into it. I’m not sure if it’s available anymore. Above all else be patient. Some kids get it immediately and some do not. Just be loving, compassionate and empathetic and she will do it when she’s ready. With my son i could sit all day and as soon as the diaper went on he would do his business.

I know you've done this before but I have a suggestion. Put Mayte on the potty right after she gets up in the morning or after her naps to start.
When my kids turned 2 years old I would introduce the potty to them.
By the time each child of mine was 2 years and 4 months they were potty trained.
I just had all of them sit backwards on the big potty.
My 2nd child potty trained himself.
Mayte is such a little boss but also has the patience of a saint!! ?

But some pull ups and buy some big girl panties, when my Daughter was little and would led in her big girl panties she hated it!! I let her wear them for about 10 mins to really get the feel & all diapers & pull ups were hidden out of sight, we told her we have them to the babies at the Hospital ? So to keep from wearing that wet pair of panties – she learned real quick to run to the potty!! I bought plain white ones for training & told her after she learned we would buy Minnie Mouse ones or whatever she wanted (this was 32 years ago as she is 34 now) worked like a charm ? Pull-ups at bedtime for awhile & nothing to drink 2 hours before bedtime.

Potty training for my grandson son was done in 2 days once I used the potty seat instead of the little potty. He wanted to use the big one. So I just bought a stool so he could getup there then boom we were golden. Also the stool works great for washing hands and brushing teeth. Good luck.
