9 males stole over $105,000 value of merchandise from the Stanford Procuring Middle Apple Retailer in a grab-and-run heist, Palo Alto police stated.

The suspects, who had been all described as being of their early 20s, bumped into the shop at 8:12 p.m. on Wednesday, picked up all of the objects they might carry and ran outdoors. Two getaway automobiles, a Volkswagen SUV and a Nissan Altima, had been ready for the lads. They drove east on Sand Hill Highway and disappeared.

The thieves bought away with 22 iPads, 10 MacBooks, 71 iPhones and 23 Apple Pencils, in keeping with police Sgt. Craig Lee.

One witness stated a number of the males had been carrying masks, stated Lee. They didn’t brandish weapons.

Wednesday’s theft is the newest in a collection of Apple Retailer burglaries within the Bay Space. Apple shops in Burlingame, Palo Alto, Santa Rosa, Emeryville, Hillsdale and Walnut Creek have been focused in comparable grab-and-go heists previously two months.

On Aug. 29, seven younger males snatched telephones, tablets, and laptops from show tables on the Burlingame Apple Retailer, Channel 2 reported. The crew broke the cables hooked up to the units and ran out of the shop with their arms filled with stolen electronics. Greater than $50,000 was taken.

On Aug. 31, a four-member crew of thieves hit Palo Alto’s Apple Retailer on College Avenue, grabbing $40,000 in merchandise whereas bystanders watched or shot video of the scene with their iPhones.

The subsequent day, Sept. 1, a crew of 4 males in hoodies hit the Burlingame Apple Retailer, taking $50,000 in laptops and telephones.

On Sept. 5, three masked males entered an Apple retailer contained in the Hillsdale Procuring Middle in San Mateo and made off with about 40 objects, San Mateo police stated.

Lee stated he doesn’t know if the incidents are associated. He declined to reply questions concerning the open investigation into the theft.

He stated this model of crime has been frequent over the previous few years.

Seventeen folks had been arrested and charged by the state Division of Justice for a $1 million theft scheme focusing on Apple shops throughout the state in 2018. Shops in Oakland and San Luis Obispo had been hit in these robberies, together with places in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Sonoma counties.
