That section is THE WORST for exactly this kind of driving. Most of westbound 70 until the 170 interchange really. Seems to mostly mellow out by then.
But then 70 from downtown until 170 drops lanes off the right and gains them on the left a few times causing needless traffic merging and lane switching. I’m glad I’m not driving through there daily anymore.

That’s not far from where we got stuck in the middle of two cars chasing and shooting at each other… gotta love St. Louis!
Stl during rush hour is intense. I-70 always has the worst drivers.
I think there’s been like seven shooting on that stretch of 70 just since Oct, I hate it.

Ughhh I-70 is always so scary. Just moved here and I’ve never seen so many distracted or crazy drivers before (and yes, I’ve driven in plenty of big cities)
STL drivers are insane.

Why is the dashcam operator traveling in the left lane?
I’m glad I only drive in St. Louis around 2 in the morning. Almost no one exists. I once had the misfortune of having to take I-70 into St. Louis at 7:00 in the morning because someone took off with my trailer to KC earlier that morning and holy hell did that suck. I like driving semis but not in rush hour.
You can’t expect a precision instrument is speed and aromatics like that to go the same speed as traffic!
