The Green Plate has seating for about 16 people and offers BYOB. Some of her customers like to eat in, while a lot like to pick up dinner for home. She also caters to people with food allergies or those who need a gluten-free diet. Unlike other restaurants, vegan and vegetarian options are also plentiful at the Green Plate. A grab-and-go cooler makes picking up a snack or sandwich easy.
You don’t need to eat what you buy the day you buy it either because every meal comes with instructions about how to freeze, thaw and recook it.
The Green Plate also offers catering for anything from a small luncheon to a wedding and uses local produce and ingredients as often as possible to minimize its carbon footprint and keep other local businesses prospering. This also ensures freshness. In addition, everything is grass fed, organic and familiar.
