Every major intersection has one of those. That’s just as much a part of Toronto as the “flashing crosswalk signal runner”, the “traffic beggar” and of course, the “cop that’s not paying attention”.
I’m glad you went ahead far enough to block them and make them stand out like the idiot they are. They took such a stupid risk just to get literally only a few extra seconds shaved off their commute.

Toronto is the worst place to drive. We have a 12 lane highway that is always bumper to bumper. Most places have a culture of driving, but Toronto being so multicultural has no culture of driving whatsoever. People just drive to the conventions they’re used to back home. Makes for a super dangerous driving experience all the time.
Well, they’re coming down from York Region so that’s to be expected.

Usually when someone does that… the oncoming traffic just waits for the left turning car to clear the intersection. And I’m in the Toronto area as well.
You should see Malaysia. Traffic lights and road markings are practically just for show. Hit-and-runs are common.

I see this every day at Yonge and Steeles on my way to school unfortunately. Just said to my boyfriend we should get a dash cam because it’s getting so bad
To be honest, I’d call you one of the idiots in this video. Why did you start moving forward before they finished turning? While you’re not “at fault”, still seems like something silly to do.

Once in Toronto a guy got out of his car and yelled at us asking what we were doing when we stopped at a red light.
I’ve started paying attention to how often cars do you this in Toronto and at any intersection with heavy traffic a car will run a red at least once every 2 let red light cycles. The cops don’t seem to give a shit.
