Derek Tsang elated for his first Hong Kong Finest Director accolade

6 Mar – Derek Tsang not too long ago admitted that he was over the moon following information that he has been chosen by the Hong Kong Movie Critics Society to win Finest Director for “Higher Days”.
As reported on Mingpao, the filmmaker who attended the closed ceremony of the 26th Hong Kong Movie Critics Society Awards held on the Wan Chai Artwork Centre to simply accept the accolade, acknowledged that that is the primary time that he had gained an award in Hong Kong regardless of having been recognised elsewhere previously.
“I’m a Hong Kong filmmaker, so to be recognised by Hong Kong filmmakers and critics, I’m very honoured certainly,” he mentioned.
Derek acknowledged that he didn’t publicly thank spouse Venus Wong on stage, saying in jest that he would do it at house as doing so publicly can be nauseating to others.
As for his father, Eric Tsang, Derek mentioned that the veteran actor was very glad for the popularity he obtained.
