Georgia became a hands-free state on July 1, 2018 because nobody would comply with the no texting while driving law that took place on July 1, 2010.
Not only that, the insurance institute read an article back in February of 2018 where if you are talking on your phone with the phone up to your ear while driving, your chances of being in a crash increase.
Fines:
1. 1 point on license and $50
2. 2 points and $100 for second time
3. $150 and 3 points for 3 or more offenses
If a driver receives 15 points within a 2 year period, their driver's license will be suspended.
The Tennessee Hands-Free Law places an unreasonable restriction on drivers who rely on their headsets on the road for taking calls, scheduling appointments, and navigating to jobs. This is a petition to have it repealed.
