I’m guessing (hoping) that someone was blocking the pump ahead and this person angled their car in awkwardly to reach the pump. Blocking vehicle gone when the pic was taken…
My hypothesis says he pulled up to pump two, thinking the door was on the driver’s side (because he doesn’t know how to use his gauges). He got out, saw he fucked up, and then did a one point in reverse. This was where he landed.

I’m guessing that the person ran out of gas. Trying to stretch a hose to the other side is one thing, this is another. I once had to get a gas can and put gas in my car at the beginning of the gas station parking lot because it just stopped about 35’ from the pump.
That’s a bit of a stretch.
