Anastasia Beliak, director of the Miss Russia contest, revealed that Russia will not participate in the Miss Universe pageant in the USA due to difficulties with visas.

According to the Russian news agency, "Novosti", Anastasia Belyak said: The administration of the Miss Universe pageant was late this year in informing us of the dates and place of the final round of the competition.

Anastasia added: Unfortunately, we will not be able to obtain American entry visas due to the difficulties in this area, and we will not have enough time to prepare for the competition, pointing out that the Russian team had to refrain from participating in the competition permanently.

She pointed out that the Russian girl Alina Sanko, who won the Miss Russia 2019 title, will participate in the Miss World contest, whose final round is scheduled for December 14.

It is reported that the Philippine Catriona Gray won the Miss Universe title for the year 2018, becoming the fourth time the Philippines won this international competition, and the 24-year-old Australian Filipino Gray won the title in the Thai capital, Bangkok, where the contest included for the first time a transgender contestant .

Gray – who was dressed in a red and orange dress at the time – said: My heart is full of great gratitude .. There were moments of doubt where I felt confused and pressured.
