Hi Bri, I'm new with videocards, gpu's psu and all sort, much more of those that are internally arranged like anti viruses, OS and the step by step download and installation of supporting apps. For nvidea and my processor of sort. Bit confused what to use as an anti-virus and a safe site to download some. Can you help me mate? My apologies for the grammar l, greetings from philippines, Cheers mate. ?
Edited: I just recently installed my Windows 10 Pro OS via USB Booth, just yesterday.
Can you test the freeware FORTICLIENT by Fortinet? In my tests it performed quite well and better than Windows Defender and many paid AV out there…
.
The best is default Microsoft Security 2019 on latest 1809 or 1903 Windows 10 using for 3 years and also it has ransomware protection.
awesome vid
I haven't used an AV in more than 10yrs. and haven't had anything happen to my system, as a result of a virus/infection or whatever their calllin' it these days. I realized that 1) There is absolutely not way of being anonymous online with an AV installed, as it's like a virtual 'SOS/Siren', announcing your online arrival. 2) Having an AV running on a machine is, about as 'safe'/healthy for your box, as you cuttin' off your foot and jumpin' in the ocean, to hand feed 100lbs a chum to a Tiger Shark frenzy. 3) The Virus, is LOOKING FOR ANTIVIRUS', if it's not in route to an acquired target. If you got a AV working, your machine is waving in Virus' like a runway worker does airplanes. And that's not even the bad stuff it's doin'.
AVG, Avast and many alike are bought by advertising firms you'll get more ads and low pc performanc and a fake scanner.
Just use clamware the original AV that has made other AV companies rich lol
Any website can be hacked and have malware to infect you. What do you mean is dodgy or not?
What is best for mac?
the only virus i got in my life was with AVAST! i have 40 years old…
Pay for all or choose Linux. That's all
I have not used any antivirus rather than Windows defender since it was implemented in Windows 7. It's being enough for me. It's always getting better and better
I've listened to you on Podnutz. I love your tips. Thanks for taking the time to teach us how to be safer online.
My Anti-Virus is windows defender & Deepfreeze
i have been user 360 Total Security: Free Antivirus Protection
Hi Brian, Great video as always, thank you. I use Norton + Emsisoft anti malware + Adguard, but it's what you have said, it's MESELF the best anti virus / anti maleware. Take care & see ya.
never have never will pay for anti virus if you dont go clicking on things or downloading from untrusted sources theres no need for it
right, viruses are not anymore programmed by little school boys who feel bored while doing their afternoon homework. If you want to be 100% sure do not get into internet banking, do not visit strange websites, do not click on any exe file in your mailbox. And you are safe. Of course big innovative companies need to to protect themselves against industrial espionage. So do not connect your think tank with the internet at all. Problem solved. Mainly all this present spyware stuff comes with software updates from your OS manufacturer. No Antivirus Software can handle that. Have your private data on a second pc which is not connected with the internet. Otherwise there is no such thing as security on an internet terminal. We have to learn to live with that.
Why didn't you mention Windows Defender/Security Essentials? And what about the native Windows firewall as the firewall product?
Surprising that Windows Defender isn’t mentioned, it gets excellent scores in independent tests.
WD + common sense is all I need on a home PC, plus a regular scan with Malwarebytes (or the Premium version running alongside WD).
Avast, Bitdefender and most others have ALWAYS caused some issue or other over the years, tried just about everything in 30 years of IT experience.
Thank you for clarifying some points most people don’t understand! Such as Antivirus vs Antimalware 😀
Avast also offers their secure browser with bank mode included for free.
I have been switching antivirus from time to time, and I have used Comodo Internet Security, Sophos Free Antivirus, etc. Now I just use the built in Windows Defender as my Antivirus, plus Acronis Antiransomware.
Ransomoff by Heilig Defense is a good Antiransomware program, and as far as I know, it blocks ransomware 100% (though I suspect it is like a Host Intrusion Prevention program, or else it would never have 100% detection), which means even if you encrypt your files on your own accord, like compressing them into a zip file, Ransomoff may alert you anyway (not sure if I am right about this, but assuming if I am right about it, you can just turn off Ransomoff protection when you encrypt your files, and turn it back on afterwards).
Right now there are quite a good number of free antiransomware out there, Cybersight Ransomstopper is another free antiransomware software to try out.
I am using antivirus/firewall that is free from my server.
? I really need your help ! ?? How to prevent a program / or malicious file that can not be deleted from continuing to work? I downloaded different software saying they could help me, but no .. Can CMD or Regedit help me?
I am using Windows Defender and i am satisfied with it and also using it since Windows 8 launched.
I have a lifetime license of Malwarebytes Premium. Works fine. I get all my customers to use it, and along with Windows 10 I hardly ever have to deal with cleanups anymore.
I can't take you seriously mate why no sophos you don't want to let all the secrets out hahah
Aren't they the best?
Keep away from Facebook that is the biggest virus polluter going
Stonehenge!!!!
very nice video very informative for novices! been watching your chanel for a very long time keep up the good work!
VIPRE is great it is free, or you can pay as I do
I use VIPRE It is cheap does not annoy you LOVE IT GIVE IT A TRY IT IS FREE
i love you! i'm going to use Kaspersky free edition or Bitdefender free edition
People don't know if the link is dodgy, if that were the case nobody would be online
I had problems with free version of the Bitdefender: the exceptions did not work, which greatly enraged, in the end he did not even want to be removed, I had to demolish it in a safe mode.
ya, I always recommended pay and get real tech support and the real way safe, and I never use free stuff, like this.good side is I want be protect real way. nice video and thanks, Brian.
Get yourself over to eBay – You can get superb paid Internet security etc… for next to nothing (Sometimes with extra long licenses).
