Dirt roads are pretty hard for plows. The road gets kind of ripply and if the plow digs in or hits a soft spot, it can get tossed around pretty hard. Not saying that’s what happened here, but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised
To be fair it can be kinda shitty visibility if it’s snowing and what looks like no street light area

On mountain passes like Donner, they put down magnets under the road surface that can be read via a sensor readout inside the cab… These can show the drivers where the road is, or even guide some systems along the road automatically, such as with the Advanced Rotary Plow.
