  1. Politicians are paid off or bribed by the big corporations when people start taking power back by using solar and home batteries watch how quickly the sniveling politicians and money grubbing corporations will bend over backwards to pay taxes and coddle the public!

  2. So so funny! Lose the aerosol parasol and we rocket to hothouse earth overnight. Prof. David Rosenfield and his colleagues recently published an article detailing how the impact of global dimming s been "grossly underestimated." Simple science.

  3. mentioned in this and the first episode was how Industrial Revolution lifted people from poverty. that's not a bad thing but the best financial move for Earth and it's citizens is to get off money altogether and forever

  4. As climate change gradually progresses, there will be less and less that we can do to slow this progression down. At some point, international frictions may disrupt the regular flow of petroleum. Instead of ruining our trade balances buying that which is becoming more and more of a liability, we need to become more and ardent in our pursuit of alternate energy sources.
[Actually, it may be somewhat like locking the barn door after the cow has been stolen.]

  5. This load of rubbish from Sky talks about 'carbon' when, in fact they are referring to carbon dioxide. CO2 is essential to the life and growth of every plant on the planet. If the CO2 level drops much below 190ppm then plants cease to grow and all life-forms on this planet would cease to exist. The present level of CO2 (approx 400ppm) is greening the Sahel, is enabling the more rapid growth of trees across the planet and causing shorter growth-to-harvest times of a number of crops. It is having absolutely no effect on the global climate. Water vapour is a far more effective 'greenhouse' gas than CO2 but no mention is ever made of this because there's no way any government could tax it.

  6. Gotta love people today cry cry cry about global warming then go back home and leave your lights on and sinks on and use 20 plastic bags for 18 items at the grocery store. Its all a cycle of stupid and there are wayyyy to many people to go back now.

  7. ¯(°_o)/¯ welp who knows really, we're on the verge of the 4th industrial revolution…are we (brits) ready for robots taking the normal day to day jobs lol, if anything people should start specialising their skils that they develop over time for those specific jobs that will be created amongst the loss of the status quo jobs in the not too far future.

  8. We should be singing hymns to carbon. It's the basic building block of all life. Instead eco-fascists demonize it as planet destroying. Are they evil and mad, or just doing it for money?

Atmospheric carbon is good. It's plant food. There's not enough of it. More CO2 in the atmosphere causes world-wide greening, especially in arid areas. https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2016/carbon-dioxide-fertilization-greening-earth

There's so little CO2 in our atmosphere because plants and algae sequestered it away for billions of years, into limestone and fossil fuel. Atmospheric carbon is now dangerously low. If it falls to 150ppm life on earth stops because plants die with so little. It fell to only 180ppm in the last glaciation. (ice age)

Money <- Yep. My conclusion too.

  9. How about doing some actual research? Google Carbon Cycle. CO2 doesn't stay in the atmosphere for ever it gets removed by plants etc. Most of the CO2 from the UK's industrial revolution has been removed from the atmosphere. Solar radiation does not care about CO2 that used to be in the atmosphere only the CO2 that is there now. FAKE NEWS from SKY!
