It’s likely cut a few times a week and the pattern is alternated with each cut to give the cross effect. I doubt it takes any longer than a normal cut it’s just a matter of lining up each row and having the right rollers on the mower to push the grass over as you cut.
I’d be that guy across the street – clover, dandelions, many types of grass… Bare patch? See what seed is on sale at the hardware store.
Mowing? But I did that, like, 10 days ago? Two weeks? Leave me alone.
I just think about how wasteful this is. It’s already wasteful to have a lawn, even more wasteful to cut it more frequently, wasteful and potentially harmful to the environment to do whatever they need to keep weeds and other naturally growing things out. At the very least, having a lawn should be worth it for playing on but something tells me nobody is playing on this lawn. This lawn is nothing but art. They would do better to get a fake lawn and spray paint the lines on.
What’s the point of having just grass there, in the open? Waste of space man. Plant a garden, some trees, a garage, a closed of area where you can barbeque and have guests over in privacy. Anything other than a boring open space of just grass.

As a guy with a mowing business myself, let me tell you, that is impressive as hell. The planning it takes to line up all your rows that well (and keep everything that pinpoint straight) is worth wantever that guy is paying.
Can someone find a video on how this is done? Always see the baseball fields and wonder how. And yes I get the basics of it , smart ass.

Wow, what a waste of time. I’m in Florida and it’s all I can do just to get the grass cut and keep it under 1 foot tall.
