Karnataka Police seizes over 1,300 kg marijuana at some stage of raids at three areas

Karnataka Police on Thursday performed raids in Bengaluru, Bidar and Kalburgi districts and seized a total of 1,350 kg of marijuana. The total consignment was hidden underground in a sheep farmhouse in Kalburgi district.

4 of us, Jnanashekar (37), a resident of Gayatrinagar and an autorickshaw driver, Siddunath Lavate (22), of Sindagi taluk in Vijayapura district, Naganath (39), of Aurad of Bidar district, and Chandrakanth (34), of Kalburgi, had been arrested.

The case started when Sheshadripuram police nabbed Jnanashekar when he allegedly tried to advertise marijuana and seized 2.1 kg of the equivalent. He later confessed he was procuring it from a peddler, Siddhnath Lavate. On September 6, cops nabbed Lavate in Bengaluru rural limits and stumbled on 200 gm marijuana with him.

Lavate, upon interrogation, confessed to procuring marijuana from peddlers Chandrakanth and his affiliate Naganath. A gaggle was shaped to arrest the foremost peddlers and lastly caught them come toll plaza in Kalburgi district. The duo was arrested and confessed to having saved marijuana in a sheep farm in Kalburgi. The hidden plot was 5 toes deep and 10 toes huge and had 1200 kg marijuana retailers there.
