Mary Jean Reimer perplexed by scarcity of face masks

17 Feb – Former actress Mary Jean Reimer recently expressed her frustration over the issue concerning the availability of medical-grade face masks in Hong Kong.
As reported on Mingpao, the former actress who recently returned to Hong Kong to donate a batch of face masks to the Hong Kong Veterans Federation, stated that she can’t understand what the government is doing letting the masks become a scarce valuable commodity.
Speaking about her own purchase, Mary said that she ordered the masks two weeks in advance, and faced no issue concerning scarcity.
Asked if she has shared knowledge of the purchase with Chief Executive Carrie Lam, Mary said, “I have already told a friend who has contact with government officials, but I haven’t shared any details yet.”
The actress also revealed that she has donated masks to clinics, after finding out that the community clinics also lack all the supplies needed.
