I have trouble opening up the program, I have the OneNote program but it will not give me an option to open with it.
After hours of slogging through Microsoft training videos, I found your channel. THANK YOU! I can't even remember how. I need to train up my team by Monday on how to use OneNote as we have just been given a 2-week school closure due to the Coronavirus scare. What frustrates me is that we use Office 365 at school and all training is on Office 2016. It looks different and works differently and I can't afford to confuse my teachers and more importantly my grade 4 students. Oh boy!
Secondly, my mac is not helping the issue. However, I will mask up and head into school today, because I want to work through your videos and download anything I possibly can to be able to teach my kids from home.
Do you have one for college students?
Hi Bec, Do you know if anyone has tried to open this document using a DoE Chromebook? Using either the google link or sharepoint link. I'm not having any luck. I have watched the instructions a few times. thank you
Love the idea of Onenote, but it is too clunky and too many issues. Sync issues and counter productive. Going back to Evernote.
This planner looks great but unfortunately I cannot get it to download to EQ Onedrive. Any suggestions?

Hi, Sorry to be a pain – but I can't seem to open a copy of the planner in either SharePoint -OneNote or google drive? – I was hoping you could help me find another way? Is it possible to share this file in another way? Kindest regards Nicole
Hi Bec, When I try to open the planner using my DET version of One Note, which I'm pretty sure is 2016 I get the message 'This file is from a different version of OneNote and we can't use it'. Any ideas?
Great resource! If you do not have OneNote 2016 you can download and install direct from Microsoft using this link https://support.office.com/en-us/article/install-or-reinstall-onenote-2016-for-windows-c08068d8-b517-4464-9ff2-132cb9c45c08. Once installed it will allow you to open the file and then you can transfer to the newest version of OneNote.
I'm so happy to have received very lovely messages about how helpful the 2020 OneNote Planner/Program is. There are also some people having difficulty with the download. To avoid this please watch the video to see all the download instructions.
The BEST/easiest way to download is to use a PC that has the 2016 version of OneNote installed (it looks the same as in the video). Most DoE PCs have it installed – make sure you are logged into OneNote.
If you are using a Mac/iPad or other device you can still access it by downloading on a PC first and then it will be in your recent files. You can access it by clicking 'open other notebooks'.

This document and support video were amazing! Thankyou so much for taking the time to do this document up and then run through it and help me when I had problems! Even though it is made with a NSW Education Dept setup I found it extremly easy to change it to QLD and my school. Thanks again!

Thank you for your channel, I am enjoying all the tutorials and learning every day. I am using Apple devices and I am struggling to download the teacher planner from any one of the above links. Is there any other way I can go about downloading it?
Thanks so much and I'd love to open it but all my devices have the updated OneNote so it appears I can't do it 🙁 I'm pretty sure even our school computers are updated.
Hi Bec, thanks so much for all your hard work. I love the way you share. Can you tell me how you 'hand in' your program at the end of the year. I am told I must provide a hard copy and it sort of defeats the purpose if I have to print out each page. How do you get around that issue? Hope you are enjoying your holiday.

Thank you very much for sharing this resource Bec. I downloaded on my pc to One Note 2016 and opened it to view, add and change. I then downloaded to my iPhone the One Note app and logged in with the same credentials as above. However, I cannot find it at all as one of my notebooks to download. Any ideas, please?

Hi. FIrstly Thanks for this One note. It is great. I also had trouble as my home computer didn't have One Note 2016. So I used my school laptop (DET image) that has 2016 and the onenote app on it. I right clicked the downloaded file, then opened in 2016. I then synched that to my school onedrive account. Then on my home computer, I opened the det portal page, went into my office 365 account and opened onedrive opened the planner from there. Hopefully this is of help to someone here.
I have just downloaded the onenote app onto my pc but it has in brackets working offline – so I don't see the things you have on this screen. I have googled how to change this without any luck – any ideas?

Tip: when downloading, make sure you check where you want it to be saved. Ideally, you would save it to your EQOneDrive (for those in EQ).
I downloaded the link for my surface pro but it was able to open the file in one note 🙁 I'm. A new user to one note so this perfect for me next year in my teaching role. Is there another way you could send to me please??
