Subang – The regent of Subang, Reynaldy Putra Andita, has undergone an investigation by the Subang Police Criminal Investigation Unit, West Java. Reynaldy answered the summons as a witness in the alleged case of spreading defamation and slander reported by the Head of the Subang Education Department, Heri Sopandi, against the former Head of the Health Service, with the initials M. Reynaldy came to the Subang Police Headquarters at around 14.00 WIB and only left the investigation room of the Satreskrim Building at around 1900 WIB. “I only came here in the capacity of a good citizen to comply with the summons as a witness to Pak Heri’s report to the respondent,” the Regent told media team on Thursday (27/11/2025). Scroll TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The subpoena was made to ask for Reynaldy’s statement as a witness about the Subang Kadisdik’s report against the former Kadinkes with the initials M and a local journalist, about the issuance of money deposits that flowed to the regent. Reynaldy said his presence was a form of obligation as a citizen to provide information. He hopes that his statement can help investigators to obtain objective and factual evidence, as well as to reduce negative issues that develop in the public. He also emphasized that he will be open according to what he knows. “I can’t count, probably hundreds of questions. We explained many of the questions in detail according to what we felt we experienced, in fact, personally, I relayed it today as a witness, not as a regent,” he said. He emphasized that there are question marks related to journalistic work. He also gave answers to investigators. “It is a journalist’s product to distinguish between criticism and slander, to explain that so far there has been absolutely nothing and no evidence of this accusation, please ask the OPD as reported here and there,” he said. “I ask for your prayers that the public will support you, don’t let it become a nuisance, the public can judge who enlivens it, so this is my personal note, not the regent’s, for those who slander, distinguish between criticism and slander, I am open to criticism, make a difference, when it comes to speech acts, I will take legal action, I will take legal action,” he said. Previously, Kadisdikbud Subang, Heri Sopandi, ex-Kadinkes M (Dr. Maxi) and a local online media journalist reported on allegations of deposits of hundreds of millions of rupiah from service chiefs within the Subang Regency government for the regent, allegedly coordinated by Kadisdikbud.
