Jakarta – Two sub-districts in Solok City, West Sumatra (Sumbar) were flooded. A total of 598 heads of families or 3,362 people were affected. Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, said the flood was caused by heavy rains that fell on Solok City since Wednesday (26/11), which led to an increase in the water flow of the Batang Lembang and Batang Gawan Rivers. Flooding from neighboring areas worsened the situation, so that a number of residential areas in the two affected sub-districts were flooded, posing a risk to life safety and material damage.
