Bogor – A 45-year-old man was found dead in the Cianteun River, Leuwiliang, Bogor, West Java (West Java). The victim was found by grass searchers who passed by the location. “It was found on the bank of the Cianteun River, the identity was found and there is a family. The identity is male, initials S, about 45 years old,” Leuwiliang Police Chief Commissioner Maryanto said on Thursday (11/27/2025) when confirmed by detikcom. SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT Maryanto said that the victim’s body was first discovered around 11:00 WIB by residents who were searching for grass. These findings were reported to the neighborhood chairman and police. “The chronology is that it was found by someone who wanted to look for grass around the river, then saw someone find it on the river bank,” said Maryanto. “We checked the location to make sure and we evacuated the victims together with the community and the SAR team,” he added. Maryanto said the victim was a resident of the area where the incident took place and was handed over to the family. They are still investigating the exact cause of the victim’s death. “We are still investigating the motive, we are still investigating. Whether we went to the river to defecate or what, we are still investigating in the meantime,” said Maryanto. (lir/lir)
