The KPK will continue to investigate this matter. “Initial suspicions are related to projects in Riau. These findings are still being investigated,” he said. The corruption that entangled Abdul Wahid is related to Abdul Wahid’s request for a fee from his subordinates at the Riau PUPR Service UPT. The Corruption Eradication Commission has named three suspects in connection with an extortion case within the Riau Provincial Government. The three suspects are Abdul Wahid, head of the PUPR-PKPP service Muhammad Arief Setiawan and expert staff for the governor of Riau Dani M Nursalam. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Abdul Wahid threatened his subordinates if they did not deposit the money known as ‘thug quota’ worth IDR 7 billion. There will be at least three allocation fee deposits in June, August and November 2025. (ial/whn)
