Jakarta – The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) is building a National Command Post in North Tapanuli together with BNPB. The main principle is that regional governments affected by disasters should function, not stagnate in the provision of public services, we will continue to help,” Safrizal said, adding that his party has been directly monitoring the locations of flash floods and landslides in Sibolga City and Central Tapanuli Regency, (2) since Wednesday. As a result of the disaster, he noted that four sub-districts in Sibolga City were affected, then 20 sub-districts in Central Tapanuli. “The team from the Directorate General of Adwil Development, Ministry of Home Affairs has been on full standby since last Wednesday, and immediately carried out field coordination and inspections. Furthermore, Safrizal reminded the affected regional governments to assess emergency response status. According to him, the Unexpected Expenditure Fund (BTT) budget can be used. “The role of regional chiefs is very central in determining emergency response status so that the Regional Government can utilize Contingency Funds (CEF) so that it can immediately restore state administration and public services,” said Safrizal. Previously, the Minister of the Interior through Circular Number 300.2.8/9333/SJ dated November 18, 2025 on preparedness for potential hydrometeorological disasters, his party moved quickly to consolidate elements of BPBD, Satpol PP, and Fire Corps in all regions in Forkopergy. “Most of Indonesia’s territory is currently at a high risk level for hydrometeorological disasters, especially floods and landslides. Extreme weather conditions, increased rainfall, cyclones and high regional vulnerability are factors to be expected with measurable and integrated preparedness steps, synergy between the Regional Government, Forkopimda and the whole community is absolutely essential,” he said.
