General Sigit also invited retired officers to make the most of their retirement by being closer to their families, recalling that they served for decades under various institutional regulations. “Please make the most of this freedom with your family, so colleagues can enjoy things that may not have been fully available due to official regulations and responsibilities,” he added. Apart from that, General Sigit emphasized the importance of maintaining solidarity, concern and a spirit of helpfulness between retired officers and Polri personnel still serving. “I always advise that unity, solidarity and the spirit of helping each other between those who are retired and those who are still active should still be maintained,” he said.
