Congress member Aditya Surjewala strongly raised the pathetic condition of sanitation workers from Kaithal and Haryana in the Assembly. He said that the sanitation workers of the Kaithal Municipal Council were on strike for the last two months for their demands, but the state government did not take notice of it. MLA Surjewala said in the House that the state government has not recruited a single permanent sanitation worker in Kaithal in the last 11 years. An election promise was made to end the contractual system, but this promise turned out to be completely false.
