Police Station Officer Narendra Singh Bhati said Jashoda (14), who lives in Meghwal Colony of Nedach village, was killed by her father, Narayanlal Meghwal, by slitting her throat. No clear motive for the crime has yet emerged. Since the incident, the police have been searching for the absconding accused father. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shipra Rajawat said that the mother of the minor victim does not live with her family in Nedach. Father Narayanlal slit his minor daughter Jashoda’s throat with a sharp weapon between noon and evening on Sunday. The minor daughter was going to school. The blood-soaked body was found on the floor near the bed in the room. On receiving information about the murder, police officers and employees of the Khamnor police station reached the spot.
