His specialty is business networking. The biggest specialty of Sutapatti is its wide business network. According to the information, there are many big traders in this market whose annual turnover is in crores of rupees. The most surprising thing is that even today about 60 percent of the textile business of neighboring Nepal is conducted from Sutapatti market of Muzaffarpur. A large number of wholesalers from Nepal reach here and buy all types of garments including sarees, suits, lehengas, children’s wear. Other buyers are also attracted. Former General Secretary of North Bihar Board of Trade and Industry Sajjan Sharma said that Sutapatti is a very famous and big textile market of North Bihar. All types of clothes are available here at both wholesale and retail rates, attracting not only local customers but also buyers from Nepal and other states. Due to this wide scope and business, Sutapatti is called ‘Mini Surat of India’. Traders say that if better roads, parking and modern infrastructure facilities are provided, this market can grow faster at the international level.
