The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride for us that your political career started at this meeting. With your hard work, sacrifice and hard work you increase the glory of the highest place in the land. For us it is a matter of learning that even afterwards you have not forgotten your place of birth or your country of work. You gave the message that no matter how great a man becomes, he should not forget his motherland and country of work. This thing should never even cross your mind. Born in an ordinary Santhali family of Uparbeda, a tribal village in Mayurbhanj district, despite many difficulties, you never gave up in life. The Chief Minister said that when he was the Governor of Jharkhand, he spoke about his struggle for life in a program in Bhubaneswar in September 2016. I remember you saying that while you were studying in school, how you collect wood from the forest for the kitchen. Getting out of this unfavorable situation and getting here is no accident. This is the fruit of your severe penance for public service and God’s blessings. The Chief Minister said that a common person like me, born in a common tribal family, got the opportunity to serve Odisha under your leadership. This is possible only in today’s India and this opportunity has been given by our Indian Constitution. The Chief Minister said that Constitution Day was celebrated across the country a day ago and the speech delivered by the President touched the hearts of 140 million people of the country. The chief minister said that every message from a president like Odisha will become a source of inspiration for us. You have been honored as the first woman MLA in this assembly. Today your presence in the Assembly as President made Lokmandir proud. You were the Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021. The role you played as an MLA, Minister, Governor and the current President is exemplary for all. Our government is working with the mantra of Prime Minister’s message Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas. In a short period of rule, our government provides clean, pure and efficient governance to the people. Today, the common people called our government a people’s government. Your address today will encourage the sentiments of four and a half crore Odias. Your speech will lead us to prosperous Odisha by 2036 and developed India in 2047. Earlier, Assembly Speaker Surma Padhi described this moment as historic and gave a detailed account of the biography of the President. The Speaker of the Assembly honored the President by giving him the statue of Uttari and Mahaprabhu Jagannath Ji. He said that we all are proud to see the Odia daughter at the highest position in the country. After this, Opposition party leader and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressed the House. Naveen Patnaik said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that the President started his political career 25 years ago from this Odisha Assembly and today he has increased the pride of this land by becoming the President.
