  1. Just naming it Xbox made it worthless and have 50 FPS LMAO, if XBox really looks like this nextgen i can't imagine the sad kids who buy that garbage when they try to place it somewhere XD

  2. Mass production equals reduced cost. It’s not that hard to see how they can pull it off. Also factor in the deals they have struck with specific vendors. PC guys are so use to having all the power and now Microsoft is actually pulling the strings consoles should have always they are in disbelief.

  3. I heard somewhere that actually try to do the math they mention when you mass produce the price of those components drops but i agree. So when ppl say why don't i just get a PC well i tell them i don't have $1600 to spend and with a console i don't need to deal with the other stuff outside of gaming cause im breaking my head jut to log into my D-Link switch via static ip

  4. Your thinking about the cost of parts, individually packaged and sold through a distributor, direct from factory in bulk could be upto half the price so from 1000 down to possible 500-600 and if they take a 50-100 loss kind could be possible.

  5. It will be $450-500. You have to remember that Microsoft gets parts at a cheaper cost and they are also willing to take an overall loss on hardware and make it up in software sales. The cost of the system will come down over it's lifetime and they will be profitable at one point. Look at the PS3 for example. Nobody wanted to buy a $600+ console so they stripped a bunch of features and ended up catching Microsoft at the end of the life cycle.

  6. Microsoft already confirmed now that the new XBox is more powerful than a PC build with a RTX 2080 TI. Especially because it doesn't have to run a resource hungry Windows 10 like a PC does. Plus developers can optimise games for the XBox's specific chip set unlike a PC, which may have hundreds of different configurations. Then the fact it's running RDNA 2.0, while at the same time Microsoft is working hand in hand with AMD to tailor every component together to maximise performance.

So yeah! You end up getting a console that will do things that have never been seen or done before. And how do they get it so cheap? Easy! This is also already known. They get it so cheap because Microsoft plans on buying and using these same components for the next 5 to 6 years!!! And because they will literally sell millions in this exact configuration.

Suppliers know that they don't have to simply make these parts for 6 months to a year for a PC. They get to make these parts for 5 to 6 years instead. So they can offer vastly lower prices to Microsoft. And in exchange, these suppliers may also get kickbacks from Microsoft themselves for what they have to offer.

Also they are being assembled by Foxconn. (Manufacturer of iPhones) So they can be assembled for much cheaper prices due to an assembly line set up.

  7. Manufacturing for them isn't the same value that the reason for them being able to sell them around 500 dollars such as the ps5 though microsoft will take a bigger loss as it seem. Since there putting a more powerful console than the ps5 graphically not sure about the load speeds. Since microsoft seems to be focusing in graphics will sony on load speeds.
