What a coinkydink, someone plowed through a utility pole right outside my work today. Was minding my own business when we heard a loud boom outside and rustling noises coming from the roof. Took us a moment to figure out what the hell happened.

I don’t really have many details. Guy was driving a Jeep and this is a residential area with a 30mph speed limit. I have many questions that will go unanswered.

More like a mistake
Im not even mad. That’s amazing!
I once saw a truck take a stoplight pole straight out of the ground. It was a 90 degree angle pole..one of the ones where the base is in the sidewalk and the rest hangs over the road. It was on the truck so perfectly that he drove a few hundred feet with it on.
Was that truck developed by Bethesda?
Haha!! One time a dollar general truck took out the whole pole in our town.

These guys hit shit so regularly it’s not even funny.
Twice since I’ve worked there in three years have we had to replace full parking lot light fixtures. Concrete base and all. Because some trucker hit it, and then dragged the light pole behind the store.
One time I dont even think the guy noticed. We found the light pole at the end of its scratch pattern just sitting there
Ouch. Hope that pole isn’t attached to anything important, because it’s coming down before that truck is free.
