A customer of mine bought a cloths dryer and elected for pick-up. He showed up later in a Tesla Model S. I told him we will wheel it out, but won’t be loading it into his ridiculous delivery vehicle because, as I put it, his car at $68’000 was more than I made in a year and won’t risk damaging it. He interrupted me to inform me that his was AKSHULLY $110’000. I told him that was 42’000 more reasons I won’t be loading it.
Spends $2,000 on the red paint option, won’t pay a $50 delivery fee…

I don’t get these people. The amount of money you save in just one week by not buying gas is enough to pay the delivery on whatever big object you’re buying.
It’s literally on a roof rack with 2 tie-downs. It might be over the 150lb load rating, but when Tesla makes a car that breaks testing machines, I’m going to assume that rack holds 300lbs without blinking.
He couldn’t afford the $19.99 truck rental on top of his car payments AND having to buy a new washer!

If it works, it works. Many people here say stuff like “buys $70000 car, won’t pay $50”, but they forget that him not paying $50 could be the reason why he can afford such a nice car.

At least he’s using a rack. The roof of that car is glass. I can’t see how he’s attached it to the rack to comment on how stupid or not-stupid this is. If that’s a dryer, it’s probably not that heavy either.
I was about to ask why he didn’t just put the machine in the trunk, but it turns out that the Model 3, unlike the Model S, doesn’t even have a liftback tailgate. What an absolute turd of a car.
Edit: Apparently the appliance is on roof rails and strapped down, so what exactly is even the issue? Are we supposed to be forbidden to carry things on roof rails made for carrying things? The dude probably only holds the blanket because it would flap violently against the car otherwise.
