God this brings memories back!! I grew up in the 60's-70's and collected DC comics & Gold Key titles without cartoon covers–that Green Hornet cover was BOSS!! Thanks Fredflix, loved the score to these books too–this was an awesome watch!
Sweet video, I have the Hanna-Barbera Gold Key Comics called Huckleberry Chuckleberry Tales which I got at this year’s WonderCon & now looking at this video I’ll probably collect some more interesting ones!

Where the other part of the trilogy went to live in relative obscurity and its really sad that a man who's name should be right up there with stan the man lee and jack king kirby oh there are others dont get me wrong pls but his political beliefs clouded his judgment so badly he left marvel in a huff just as he had established the most popular single figure in marvel HISTORY but his legacy wont be lost on those of us who were there who knew who know why and still wonder what if steve ditko had continued his run on spiderman it would have been lee kirby and ditko no doubt in my mind

Outside of The Partridge Family (loved it's art!), I steered clear of Charlton (their H-B work–primarily Flintstones & spin-off titles–was HIDEOUS imo?)! It seemed like they never had actually seen any Hanna-Barbera shows!?

Loved Space Family Robinson. The show was NOT supposed to be based on it, but they both sourced Swiss Family Robinson.
So much guns and violence. I feel much safer with Teletubbies saying "uh oh Tinky-Winkie". Gerald McBoing-Boing is one of my earliest memories, still have the 45ish on a 78 record. Again, I bow to you, Fred!
Omg, I have started a half-dozen times easily, unable to make it thru your "stirring my vault of memories, so much i can't even focus; like being handed a stack of unseen comics, a considerable treasure trove of all my personal "Rosebuds" due to recollections of holding some of those very DELL and/GOLD KEY comics in my hands like "TUROK Son of Stone" (my favorite Gold Key title) the covers of which were in my recall,rather lush, detailed, and given a moment's notice, could jump off it. Thanx for reminding me, now fair is fair, how about "CLASSIC ILLUSTRATED" or have I missed that installment? I still can see a rendering of "Hamlet" in my mind's eye.

McGoohan in Secret Agent spawned the famous song "Secret Agent Man" then he turned the show into The Prisoner you could do a video about that it would be amazing if you can find enough video of both shows to use.

Fantastic collection a great montage and that Adam-12 "Satan's Children" is wild did they ever do that on the show have a satanic group of killers?
Many of the T.V. shows & cartoons were based on these comic books.

I actually was given a hand me down Gold Key of Star Trek and sought out the show in 1974 in reruns. Saw first run animated Star Treks before I had seen all of the live action episodes. Star Trek in its first prime time run was not watched because Dad and Mom chose the channel at night. Reruns after school and Saturday morning it was kid choice.

If not mentioned 1964 issue of Space Family Robinson had a letter in letters page "fan' proclaiming his praises of the comic etc and goes as far to suggest 'A TV should be made about this comic

Wow, Fred!! Are these comics from your personal collection. This is fabulous. As a young child in the 1960's and 1970's, I remembered looking at comics for the artwork. The stories didn't matter. I was fascinated with the pictures and the color. I guess that was the artist in me. Thanks for sharing, Fred!!
I still have some Gold Key comics. I sold the Star Trek ones back in the mid 80s, but I have most of the remaining ones. Several issues of The Phantom, Wild Wild West, Walt Disney's The Scarecrow, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Man from Uncle and several issues of Space Family Robinson Lost in Space. My dad would take me to the store and I would get 8 comic books a week. They were 12 cents each in those days. Good times.

I would have loved to see the Adam 12 edition battling Satan! Another TV comic adaptor was Charlton Press published near my home in Derby Connecticut by John Santangelo. My grandfather had a falling out with him. He said he was a very bad man. They published Scooby Doo, Popeye, Casper, and lots of weed comics.
