SRK is on trial for suspicious advertising

An Indian court has ordered Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan to provide a written affidavit explaining his relationship and explaining his association with the Delhi-based Indian Institute of Planning and Management, due to an investigation to mislead and deceive students.

The judge asked Shah Rukh Khan, who appeared in some of the Institute's announcements, and his company, Red Chillies Entertainment, which had embarked on a promotion for the institute, to provide a written statement of the nature of his relationship, and to testify to the court within two weeks.

In their case before the Supreme Court, some of the students of the Institute claimed that they were impressed by the SRK advertisements promoting enrollment and certification of the institute, and their admission to their courses, and their lawyer before the judge claimed that SRK was the brand's ambassador.

This claim was rejected by the actor's lawyer, who told the court that he only appeared in some announcements to the institute, after which Judge Shahrukh Khan ordered a statement of his relationship with the educational institute, and the petitioner's lawyer said that some students had filed a criminal case against IIPM in 2018, The UGC said the institute did not follow it.
